Golf gloves are one of the most overlooked and neglected pieces of equipment out there. There are guys who have been wearing the same glove for years! Don't be that guy! For me it's all about luck. See, I have this glove I got at the beginning of last year. I'll never forget the day I bought it. I put it on and 5 holes later I knocked one in from 120 yards out on #6 at Westwood Country Club in Vienna, VA. Hit a sweet drive and holed it with my wedge. for the eagle. SWEET. It HAD to be the glove. My golf glove is my proverbial rabbit's foot. There is a worn spot now on the thumb and a tiny hole has formed, but I won't give it up. It has become part of me. I'll wear it until my thumb pokes through and then, grudgingly, I'll put it into the large pocket on the side of my bag, where it will live in retirement until 2040.

Come on! The hack is handicapping himself unecessarily (pun intended). This is one of the cheapest and easiest things a golfer, of any ability, can do to get set up right.
The fit and feel of your golf glove can have a huge impact on your game. Here's the thing - it's not so much that a good glove will help your game, it's that no glove or a worn glove can hurt it.
Since your glove hand is where most of your swing power is originated, you keep it covered to both protect your hand and keep a sure grip on the club. The material should be supple and transfer the feel of the club to your hands really well. A worn glove will develop a sheen to it - almost like a plastic shell - that prevents some of that feel from getting through to the golfer.
Make sure your golf glove fits! The fingers should cover the entire length of your digits, but not bunch up. The palm size and closure should be comfortable and easy to operate. I go for traditional designs and leave the gimmicky stuff to the hacks.
Oh yeah - one more thing. Don't be the fool wearing two gloves. Golf is not baseball, nor is it racecar driving. Again, don't be that guy.
