A friend of mine has a fantastic collection of logo golf balls. Any time he plays a new course, he picks up a logo ball at the proshop. Of course, you wouldn't do this at a Fairfax County municiple course, but at courses that are more than just super-ordinary. He has his 100+ golf balls in a handsome wooden case, mounted on the wall of his office. He has logo balls from such places as Pinehurst, TPC Sugarbush, Avenel, Congressional, Pebble Beach and more.
Then, there's nothing like a print or painting that tells the story of a famous golf championship. Like perhaps an oil depicting Nicklaus and Palmer walking onto number 18 at Oakmont at the 1962 US Open. Or how about Tom Watson's 71st hole chip in that would win the 82' Open at Pebble Beach?
Scratch even has some of his more memorable moments framed up for posterity on the walls of his finished basement. Virginia Amateur titles, newspaper write ups, and various tournament wins are all well represented.
