Golf sunglasses are yet another key component in your set up. Here’s the thing about accessories like sunglasses – alone, your shades won’t help you score better, but it you don’t have them, your game will suffer – there are a ton of reasons why…
First and foremost, the best reason to have a great pair of golf sunglasses is so that you can find your ball! There is nothing worse than playing a game and constantly waiting for someone to find tehir ball in the rough because they couldn’t rrack it through the air. There are lots of other implications to, let’s turn to Hack and Scratch for some much needed insight.
From the Hack
I have three pairs of sunglasses that I might wear in a golf game. The only pair that is designed for golf are my Oakley M Frames. Sweet! I have a confession about these – I originally bought them to run in. I ran the entire Marine Corp Marathon last October in my Oakley’s and I never even knew they were on my face. They didn’t slip, slide or come otherwise irritating. You can even buy the Golf Lens set that has a series of lenses for different lighting conditions. The Oakley Golf Sunglasses are so important, they’ll get a review page all alone.
I have two other pairs – both Maui Jim’s. Maui’s have the best optics you’ll find. One pair has stone ground glass lenses that are sheer bliss to look through but they are heavy as hell! So I went out an bought some Maui’s with a composit lense that are light as a feather, but are more for looks and design than real functionality.
From Scratch
Scratch here – this is one of the few times when I and the Hack line up in our behavior (did I just say that?!). We’re both sunglass fiends and more specifically, golf sunglass fiends. I wore the M Frames too for a couple years, until recently moving over to the Golf Flak Jacket. They have all the great functionality of the M Frames in a very cool two lense set up.
I used to be a Revo fan, but even their sport frames are really no good as golf sunglasses.
Oakley golf sunglasses are in my opinion, the undisputed king of the sun glass pro shop.
